Steelton Borough Planning Commission Meeting

The Steelton Borough Planning Commission will hold a meeting on Wednesday, January 15th at 6:00 PM, prevailing time, to consider plans submitted by Steel Works,LLC for the Steel Works Development Project, and any other business that may come before the body. The meeting will take place in Council Chambers at the Frederick Douglass Municipal Building located at 123 North Front Street, Steelton, PA 17113. Any persons with a disability or that requires special accommodations to attend the meeting should contact Steelton Borough 48 hours in advance of the meeting.

LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF MEETING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Monday, December 16, 2019, the Borough Council of the Borough of Steelton, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania (the “Borough”) enacted an Ordinance which, among other things, authorized the incurring of non-electoral debt in the maximum aggregate principal amount of $3,000,000 through the issuance of one or more general obligation notes (the “Notes”) and authorized the award of the Notes at private sale upon invitation to a Bank to be selected by the Borough. A summary of the Ordinance was advertised on December 10, 2019, and the proposed text has been available for examination at the office of the undersigned. The purchase price of the Note is $3,000,000, and the Note bears interest at a maximum rate of 6.00% per annum. Insertions and amendments were made throughout the Ordinance, as follows: Section 5 and Section 7 to insert the maximum interest rate applicable to the Notes as 6.00% per annum; Section 5 and Exhibit B to add a schedule of annual principal payments; Exhibit A to make minor amendments to the form of the Notes; and Exhibit C – to insert the maximum annual amounts appropriated to the Sinking Fund for the Notes. No other amendments or insertions were made to the Ordinance at the time of final enactment. A complete text of the Ordinance may be examined by any citizen of the Borough at the Borough Municipal Building, 123 North Front Street, Steelton, Pennsylvania, on regular business days from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., prevailing time. The proceedings for the incurring of the debt referred to above will be filed with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (the “Department”), on or after December 26, 2019. Under the terms of the Pennsylvania Local Government Unit Debt Act, 53 Pa. Cons. Stat. §8001 et seq, as amended, the time for filing any complaint with the Department asserting the invalidity of the proceedings or any part thereof, is limited and attention is direct to the specific requirements of the Act.
