SECTION 3: That any ordinance, or part of ordinance, conflicting with this ordinance be and the same is hereby repealed in so far as the same affects this ordinance. Auction Of Vehicles By Steelton Borough
AUCTION OF VEHICLES BY STEELTON BOROUGH, DAUPHIN COUNTY Notice is hereby given that the Borough Manager of Steelton Borough shall sell by auction certain unused and unnecessary vehicles & equipment owned by Steelton Borough, on Sat., Dec.14, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., prevailing time, at the 282 Christian Street, Highway Department Building, Steelton, Pennsylvania. The vehicle list is as follows: 1999 International dump truck; 1994 John Deere Loader tractor; 2014 Ford Focus; 2013 Ford Focus; 1978 Aluma Craft 15′ Boat; 2004 Vermeer Mighty Mole Beck Gap Vac; Pinning Machine, Minnich Mfg.; Street Saw, Stow Slicer, 2004 Box Trailer with Video Camera; 1991 Chevrolet Flusher Truck. The successful bidders, (best responsible bidders) shall receive title to the vehicles and shall be liable for any title transfer costs, taxes, and any other expenses of transfer; shall be required to pay the purchase price in full on the auction day according to the terms defined by the Auction Company; shall remove the vehicle by no later than Dec. 19, 2019; and shall pay an auctioneer fee of 10% of the purchase price on auction day. Steelton Borough makes no warranties or other representations as to the title or condition of the vehicles, and the successful bidder will purchase the vehicles “AS IS”. Request for Proposals (RFP) for Supplementary Maintenance and Cleanup Services
Steelton Borough Request for Proposals (RFP) for Supplementary Maintenance and Cleanup Services Notice is hereby given that Steelton Borough is seeking proposals from qualified bidders for supplementary maintenance and beautification services. The Borough seeks written proposals from bidders to act as an independent contractor providing a supervised work crew operating up to 18 hours per week to perform duties as assigned by Borough staff. Bidders should be capable of providing transportation of work crew to and from worksites, provide basic safety equipment, uniforms, and tools to the provided work crew and provide applicable insurance coverages for the provided work crew and supervisor. Bidders are required to provide proposals in accordance with the specifications and procedures identified in a RFP available from the Borough of Steelton. Proposals will be received at the following address: ATTN: Douglas E. Brown, Frederick Douglas Municipal Building, 123 North Front Street, Steelton, PA 17113. Proposals must be received no later than Friday, December 6th at 4:00pm. Proposals received after 4:00pm on Friday, December 6th, 2019 shall not be considered. Sealed bids will be opened on Monday, December 9th at 11am at the Frederick Douglas Municipal Building located at 123 North Front Street, Steelton, PA 17113. Services for which Proposals are sought: Supervised work crew to provide supplementary maintenance and beautification services at the direction of Borough Public Works staff. Specifications relating to the Services: Firms submitting proposals shall demonstrate knowledge of and experience providing supervised work crews to perform the general labor duties as specified in the RFP and expertise in performing the work involved in the RFP. A successful Applicant who is awarded the bid will be required to enter into a contract prepared by the Borough for a term beginning January 1st, 2020 and ending December 31, 2020. Procedures to Compete for the Contracts: Applicants shall complete proposals in accordance with the RFP available at the www.steeltonpa.com and submit proposal to the Borough of Steelton by December 6th, 2019. After verification by the Borough of Steelton that the proposals are complete, the Borough of Steelton will evaluate each firm submitting a proposal and will select the most qualified firm.
