Biography
Natashia Woods was born and raised in York, PA and moved to this area to attend Penn State Harrisburg, majoring in Applied Behavioral Sciences. Moving to Steelton in 2009 with her to children, she wanted to give back to her community by doing community service and attending parent engagement meetings at Steelton Highspire Elementary School. From her experience with working with the school district, Natashia ran and won a race for School Board Director at Steelton Highspire School District. With the following local elections in 2018, Natashia ran for Borough Council and won a spot to continue to help move Steelton forward into the future. Recently having been re-elected she will continue the work that she set out to do with integrity and transparency.
On a professional level, Natashia has worked for the last 20-plus years with various Human Service programs in the Harrisburg area. Natashia works to help people in poverty becomes self- sufficient through helping them connect to resources and change mindsets.
